Just finished watching the news about Shanghai building a new building that is 101 levels tall, about 16m shorter than Taiwan's counterpart which is also affectionately known as Taipei's 101. Just then a thought came to my mind ( choi though...), what if the building caught fire, let say in the middle portion or higher, what will happen?
Asked my Dad this question and he replied "Well ,there's no way they are able to put out the fire.". Which means that the people trapped in the higher level is doom. The only way out is to jump out of building, which is highly not advisable as it still lead to death.
Watched a movie a couple of years ago. Had forgotten the title though, its about a couple of people being trapped in the top portion of the hotel when the middle level caught fire. Someone in the movie said that the height of the building built nowadays had exceeded the technology of fire saving.
Ah, what to do? Should we not work in the high rise building when we grow up. However, if the building is situated in the high-rise building, it always meant that it is an established company furthermore the higher level your office is, your position is often higher.
So would you want your life or position?
